Private play
Dedicated server, bot-host client, local planner — gather/follow/fight that doesn’t embarrass us.
Palheim joins your server as a multiplayer player. Your friends keep their vanilla clients — no BepInEx, no plugin roulette.
First on our own dedicated server. Local-first brains. Bootstrap, not vapor.
Three steps
Run Valheim the way you already do — dedicated server or friends’ session. No client mods required on anyone’s machine.
Send a join code / assignment from the site. Palheim boots a real player client on our bot host and walks in as a peer.
Talk to it. Point it at wood, deer, or a portal. Local-LLM-biased planner — follow, gather, fight, chat — not a scripted NPC prefab.
Product lock
Most “AI companions” for Valheim are client mods: they spawn an NPC in your game and often need a modded stack. That cuts day-one 1.0 players.
Palheim takes the harder seat: show up as a multiplayer player. Friends stay clean. You invite a teammate, not a plugin.
